«RUSSIAN BITUMEN» State concern has started to produce polymer-bitumen binders (PBB) which are used in the construction of highways, roofing and so on. Production capacity is 250 tons per day.
SBS polymer and plasticizer are PBB’ components which give undeniable advantage before common bitumen. PBB’ melting point is higher by 12 ºС (and even more) and prevents roofing, sprawling and raveling. Brittleness point temperature is lower by 5-6ºС and ensures high elasticity which prevents asphalt concrete destruction from temperature difference during winter and autumn seasons. PBB firmly grip with aggregates, this prevents macadam undercovering and underway clothing early fracturing.
